Equality & Diversity at Advantage Law
We recognise, support and celebrate the diversity of our staff. At Advantage Law we recognise and respect the value of human differences.
As an organisation we aim to create an environment where the diverse experiences, perspectives and backgrounds of our people are valued and utilised. We foster an inclusive and supportive culture where our interactions with each other, and with our clients, are founded on mutual respect.
Diversity within our firm is shaped by a variety of characteristics including age, gender and cultural background, as well as physical, psychological and intellectual ability. It also encompasses different ways of thinking and ways of working to allow us to better serve our diverse range of clients and client matters.
Our commitment to diversity and inclusiveness is woven into the fabric of how we operate.
At Advantage Law we are committed to creating and maintaining a workplace that is diverse and inclusive in order to attract and retain quality employees. Women represent over 60% of our workforce and our firm is committed to providing generous paid maternity and shared parental leave entitlements for its staff.
Culturally and Linguistically Diverse
Throughout our history, Advantage Law has helped many people from non-English speaking backgrounds with their legal needs. Our staff members come from a diverse range of backgrounds and nationalities, which enables us to better serve the needs of our clients and understand their traditions and customs.
CORPORATE AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
At Advantage Law we recognise that we have an economic, environmental and social impact that goes beyond our core activity. Our corporate social responsibility programme is an important part of who we are and is designed to ensure this overall impact is a positive one.
As a firm we value inspiration, innovation and individual contributions. We treat our clients, and each other, with mutual respect and trust. We bring this approach to our CSR programme and aim to ensure all our people have the opportunity to get involved to help them develop to their full potential and be responsible citizens.
Our CSR programme has five key areas:
- Health Projects
- Research Funds
- Pro bono
Our lawyers undertake a wide range of pro bono (i.e. free) legal advice as part of their commitment to the wider community. This ranges from sorting leases for local charities and community groups to working on legal advice lines and taking on high profile individual pro bono cases.
As a firm dedicated to upholding the legal rights of individuals, we strive to use our skills and expertise to support others in our community. Our community programme supports organisations that promote access to justice and social inclusion and those providing vital services to some of the people we have helped with our legal work.
At Advantage Law we are constantly striving to help reduce our impact on the environment. We always aim to be proactive in cutting our consumption rather than just reacting to legislation.
